Step out of your comfort zone

if we stay inside our comfort zone, nothing changes. We don’t grow. We’re not challenged. We don’t get to find out what we’re made of. Breaking out of your comfort zone means taking up new challenges. This will automatically make you more productive as you work towards achieving the new goals.

Getting out of your comfort zone from time to time creates just enough good stress to ramp up your focus, creativity, pace, and drive, and it helps you respond to life stress when unexpected things happen.

Try to make small changes that take you out of the everyday and familiar, yet are not too emotionally challenging. You have within yourself the ability to make big change.

Reach out

Reaching out does not just mean having someone listen to you. It also means you get access to information, advice, guidance and other kinds of assistance from different people. Yet, in our society, some value their independence so much that asking for help seems like a weakness.

It's important to talk. Whether it’s sending a text, messaging on social media sites, leaving a comment on a blog, meeting up for a coffee and a chat or sending a good old-fashioned letter. These are things that can help. It’s important to reach out, to let people in.

It may seem scary. But believe me, it’s amazing the weight that lifts afterward. Just knowing someone else knows can make a huge difference to how much strength you have to cope with difficult situations.
