Mya is committed to getting Visible Minority Ethnic (VME) people connected with nature. She has been campaigning for 5 years to make the environmental sector including wildlife film-making ethnically diverse and so engaging with VME communities by being relevant. She has been also involved in Youth Strikes for Climate speaking before Greta Thunberg, Youth for our Planet and Extinction Rebellion, having set up a local group.
Mya-Rose's biggest passion is world birding, saving our planet and everything on it, meeting indigenous peoples in different countries and being the youngest to see half the world's birds. Antarctica was the most special and made her appreciate how precious our planet is.
