Verla Fortier is the former director of surgery in Toronto, Canada. At age 63 she was diagnosed with Lupus. After 40 years in traditional health care, Verla became fascinated by the research showing the benefits of being outside and near trees. She’s developed a system that incorporates going outside to increase health, prevent dementia, manage her chronic illnesses.
